I am about to commence serious baking. I have a ton of recipes I want to try. Clint's co workers will be happy because I have been sending along stuff with him since we never finish all the baked goods. I made Halloween funfetti cupcakes with homemade buttercream frosting and little fall sprinkles the other day. So cute and so yummy. The frosting was a bit runny, but still tasty.

My creation is delicious! I used 1 pound ground beef, 8 oz. Velveeta, some chopped onion, and a bit of garlic. I browned the beef, onions, and garlic and then drained. I added the cubed Velveeta to the meat and stirred it until gooey. Then I added some cooked macaroni noodles (about two cups maybe?). I just added the roni until it looked good to me. The result: cheesy, meaty goodness.

My mom was telling me a cute story about Simon that happened last night, so I thought I would share it.

Logistics for the story to make sense: Simon and Gypsy sleep in the mud room with a baby gate closing off their room from the kitchen. Their food bin is also at the top of one set of the basement stairs, to keep them from getting down there at night. So they have a little room in between the upstairs and the basement. OK, on to the story.

Simon is terrified of loud noises like gun shots and thunder. Last night a storm was moving through and the thunder was rattling the windows it was so strong. Well, around 1:00 am or so mom hears a scratch, scratch, scratch at the bedroom door and she opens it up and my little booger butt is standing there wanting to hide from the storm. Apparently he managed to move the food bin away from the stairs and went around through the basement and came upstairs from the other staircase. He is cute *and* smart!

In others news, I hope I don't get blown away by tornadoes today.

I made a 4.0 this semester. What?!?!?!

Wow. I am shocked and excited. I seriously didn't think I would, considering I took 12 hours (like an idiot). For those who don't know, 9 hours is the maximum recommended in grad school. But, I pulled off my first semester in grad school without killing myself or anyone else. Yay for me. Where is my cookie?

Now I will wash dishes and then venture home. Tomorrow I am having eye surgery. Fun.

But today, oh today, is gonna be great. Class is done, cell bill is paid...next up, lunch with the girls, and then sweet nap time. Oh, how I have waited for uninterrupted sleep. Naps are better when you know you don't have to get up and do anything when you wake up. Later on the agenda, TV and taco night with my Honey. Yessssssssss. Did anyone notice what is missing from today's plans? What's that? No work? You're damn right. Hurrah for Veterans Day.

And can I just say how psyched I am about: (A) going to the all you can eat soup, salad, and bread stick lunch at Johnny Carinos (a girl's got to eat) and (B) the game tomorrow.

And on a completely unrelated note, Clint and I went to eat dinner with his parents last night. I survived. That is all.

Ok, so this is late, but I didn't care enough to write about it earlier.

On Halloween I had four trick or treaters! I have never had any before. Not in the three years I have lived in Auburn. But, I gave out powerpuff girls sticker boxes (they were leftovers from the last couple years when I had no trick or treaters, but yeah) and candy bars and one of the little greedy trick or treaters was all like, "power puff girls?!?" when I put it in his bag. The next morning when I was leaving for class I saw the sticker box on the ground. Little bastard. I rescued the sticker box. I'll give them to the kids at school. They love any kind of stickers.

Clint and I went to a Halloween pardookie at Justin's place. It was interesting. Hehehehe. It was definitely good to see all the old gang again. Clint was Richard Simmons and I was the Tooth Fairy. I made him a Sweatin to the Oldies shirt and everything. I'll post pictures eventually.

Now I must go pack up the rest of my Halloween decorations.

Our little dog Jack died last night. He fought hard, but his little body just couldn't handle it. It all happened so fast and I really thought he was going to make it.

I wish I could be at home. My parents are pretty upset. I didn't go to work today and have pretty much been crying whenever I'm awake.

It will never be the same to go home. Not three little furries happy to see me, only two. I will always remember Jack sitting by the door waiting for my Dad to come home everyday. He loved my Dad so much. I am glad Dad went to see him at the vet's before he died. I'm sure it made Jack really happy to see him one last time.

He was loved by us all and we'll always remember him.

Corpse Bride was pretty good. It was no Nightmare, but really, what could have possibly outdone that movie. I enjoyed it though. My honey even liked it, even though there was singing. hehehehe. OH! And I saw an AWESOME preview for GOF. I cannot WAIT for it to come out. It is gonna be so good.

Now I am gonna go get ready for the game. Whee homecoming.
